Summer Program

Shizuoka University’s Summer Program welcomes students studying at our current and future partner universities from around the world. We are pleased to offer this program where participants can experience Shizuoka’s renowned natural beauty (Mount Fuji), arts (Shizuoka Performing Arts Center: SPAC), and industries (Yamaha, Suzuki, Tea Museum, and more). Why not rediscover Japan with us from the perspective of cultural anthropology?

1. Outline

  • Duration of the Program : From Thursday, August 1, 2024 to Friday, August 9, 2024 (9 days)
  • Numbers of Participants : Approximately 15 students
  • Language used : Japanese
  • Accommodation : Shizuoka International Residence (university dormitory)
  • Duration of the Program : From Thursday, August 1, 2024 to Friday, August 9, 2024 (9 days)

2. Requirement

Each applicant must satisfy all of the following points.
(1) Applicants must have equivalent to Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 level or higher.
(2) Applicants must be enthusiastic to take part in this program organized by Shizuoka University.

3. Certificate

We will issue a certificate upon completion. Unit accreditation is at the discretion of each university. The duration of the course is 90 hours, equivalent to 2 credits at Shizuoka University.

4. Application

Please read carefully the Application Guidelines and send following items to the contact information (refer to the Application Guidelines) by email through the international office at your home university.

  • Application form
  • Passport copy (for those who have obtained it)
  • Certificate of Japanese language proficiency

*Direct applications from students cannot be accepted.
