Summer Program
Shizuoka University’s Summer Program warmly welcomes students from our partner universities around the world. This unique program offers participants the chance to experience the natural beauty of Shizuoka — home to the iconic Mount Fuji — as well as its vibrant arts scene, including the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center (SPAC), and its world-renowned industries such as Yamaha, Suzuki, and the Tea Museum. Join us and rediscover Japan through the lens of cultural anthropology!
1. Outline
- Duration of the Program : From Thursday, July 31, 2025 to Friday, August 8, 2025 (9 days)
- Numbers of Participants : Approximately 15 students
- Language used : Japanese / English
- Accommodation : Shizuoka International Residence (university dormitory)
2. Requirement
Each applicant must meet all of the following requirements.
(1) Applicants must have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to or higher than JLPT N4 level.
(2) Applicants must be enthusiastic about participating in this program organized by Shizuoka University.
3. Certificate
A certificate of completion will be issued.
Credit accreditation is subject to the discretion of each participant’s home university.
The course consists of 90 hours, which is equivalent to 2 credits at Shizuoka University.
4. Application

- Passport copy (for those who have obtained it)
- Certificate of Japanese language proficiency (if any)
- Certificate of English language proficiency (if any)
