FY2020 The 7th IAA online meeting

Due to the challenges of organizing the planned conference in FY2020 amidst the spread of COVID-19, an online event was organized as an alternative. This event aimed to introduce the four departments and laboratories of Shizuoka University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology. It served as a platform to showcase Shizuoka University’s master’s education and research activities to partner universities and to provide information to prospective applicants for the ABP master’s degree. The event offered a unique opportunity to present Shizuoka University’s advanced master’s education and research activities and to inform prospective ABP master’s degree applicants.

Date: Wednesday, 27 January 2021, 15:00 – 17:00 (Online via Zoom)

Contents:

  1. Introduction of Shizuoka University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology.
  2. Presentation of research activities by master’s students in four departments:
    • Department of Agricultural Sciences: Environmental Forest Science, presented by Catur Putra Satgada
    • Department of Biological Science: Presented by Arif Agung Wibowo
    • Department of Engineering: Chemical and Bioengineering, presented by Hosea Adinata Djajakirana
    • Department of Informatics: Presented by Bhuiyan Rakib
  3. Information session on the application process for the Master’s program in the Asia Bridge Programme (ABP).
  4. Student and faculty consultations (breakout sessions).
  5. Detailed session on applying for the ABP Master’s Programme.
  6. Networking opportunity with faculty members from partner universities.

Attendance: Approximately 80 registrants.

COVID-19感染拡大のため令和2年度は予定していた会議の開催が難しいため、代替活動として、静岡大学総合科学技術研究科の4専攻と研究室を紹介するオンラインイベントを開催し、協定校への静岡大学の修士課程教育・研究活動の発信と、ABP修士出願希望者への情報提供の機会としました。
