Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim, Rector of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), along with six faculty and staff, visited Shizuoka University for two days from 24 May 2023. Upon arriving at the Shizuoka Campus, the esteemed delegation paid a courtesy call to President Hizume of Shizuoka University. Additionally, the delegates had meetings with Director Nobuyoshi Shiojiri, Vice-President for International Strategy Makoto Kondo, and Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Masakazu Hara. The UTHM delegation was also given a tour of research facilities specializing in agricultural sciences.

The delegation's visit extended to the Hamamatsu Campus, where they engaged in a series of meetings with representatives from the faculty of Engineering, the Research Institute of Electronics, the Graduate school of Medical Photonics, and the Organization for Innovation and Social Collaboration. A tour of various research facilities was also conducted.

Based on the common issues in research and education that we have recognized through this exchange and the potential for collaborative activities in each field, it is hoped that future exchange activities will be expanded.
