On 24 May 2023, Dr C. Muthamizhchelvan, President of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Shizuoka University's partner university in India, paid a courtesy call on President Hizume of Shizuoka University. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor M. Navaneethan and Assistant Professor S. Harish of SRM, who are engaged in joint research and academic exchange, and Professors Yasuhiro Hayakawa, Masaru Shimomura, Hiroya Ikeda and Noriko Matsuda of Shizuoka University to discuss educational and research collaboration. In light of the collaboration and research synergies fostered through the Doctoral Double Degree Program in Engineering at both institutions, the dialogue embraced the prospect of expanding exchanges into a diverse range of academic disciplines.
