On September 28th, the final report session for the interactive internship was held at A.I.S. Five foreign students, including A.I.S employees, attended the final session.
Ms. Huong (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering), a Vietnamese student, made a presentation under the theme of “Application of image inspection AI technology to detect abnormal parts of the appearance of products with high accuracy”. She used AI to automatically detect abnormalities such as scratches, dents, and foreign matter contamination on parts on the production line, reducing human error and production costs. Director Iio of A.I.S said, “It was very good that it was easy to understand, and the improvement of cost reduction and the examination of the effect were also considered. ”
Ms. Van (Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering), a Vietnamese student, made a presentation on the theme of “Environmental Problems and Painting”. She said that the contaminated circulating water generated during the painting process of the aluminum surface would be purified with a special flocculant and reused as clean water to reduce production costs. Mr. Yukawa, General Manager of Technology Development Department of A.I.S., commented “ The environmental problem and automation have not been improved yet, but we must solve them from now on, so it was very helpful. In the future, we would like to refer to this report and make improvements.”
Finally, President Suzuki said, “Thank you for your hard work, internship students. If you are a second year undergraduate student, please study your specialty technology hard. Remember that it is the basics of technology that you need to get a job in Japan and grow as an engineer, and to start contributing to the industry of that country when you return to your country. I look forward to communicating with you at some opportunity. See you again. ”
