On September 29th, the final report session for the interactive internship was held at Shinba Iron Works. The session was attended by Shinba Iron Works employees and Indonesian international student Mr. Raymond (Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering).
Mr.Raymond thought about whether the abilities and knowledge acquired in the internship training could be applied to the fluid mechanics learned at the university, and after practical training such as CAD operation and laser machining, he actually made a prototype drone as a task product. It was shown together with the sales plan. In addition, Mr. Raymond said, “Since I found out that the material processing machines and processing methods of Shinba Iron Works are excellent, I think it may be possible to challenge not only mufflers but also new product development. If you hire people from different countries, you will be able to see new ideas or things from different angles. ”
Professor Fujimaki commented, “It was very good that this announcement included a story of making it yourself and selling it yourself.” President Shinba said, “I’ve been having internship college students practice laser machining programs for a long time, but I thought it was very interesting to have laser machining on the difficult theme of streamline. I think the spirit of challenge is very important. “
Mr. Raymond said, “It was very fun for me to participate in this internship and I didn’t feel the passage of time at all. I am very satisfied.”
